Our Team

Dreamcatcher Design+Build isn't a company but rather a home focused art and architecture collaborative which has been designing and remodeling high quality houses, furniture, and landscapes in and around Mid-Michigan for over 15 years. Founded in 1995 by Gaberiel Keway, Dreamcatcher Design+Build merged a wealth of construction experience along unending creativity to earn a remarkable reputation as a leading local design/build firm. Eventually Gaberiel Keway, Matthew Carlton, and Brandon Vince came together to combine their strengths as a design+build collaborative in order to create an unbeatable force in the fields of architecture and construction. Dreamcatcher Design+Build is committed to operating with a foundation of unwavering ethics and quality results. Our Founder

Gaberiel Keway

Gabe has worked on many award winning projects throughout his career. He began as an independent contractor in 1992 and was soon responsible for the design and construction oversight of the Stock Lumber Kitchen and Bath Showroom in Commerce Township, Michigan.  He is also responsible for the design of the Byron Memorial Park Pavillion in downtown Byron, Michigan, the Country Home Remodel Project in rural Byron, Michigan, the 555 Gallery and Studio complex in Detroit, Michigan, and the construction of the MiSo Sustainable Research House at Matthaei Botanical Gardens in Ann Arbor, Michigan. 

Gabe earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from University of Michigan in 2005 and continues to supplement his education through practicing cabinetmaking, boatbuilding, blacksmithing, and vintage machine restoration.

Mr. Keway is active in a number of professional organizations including the Genessee County Home Designers Association, a member of the Flint Society of Certified Professionals, and a member of the Byron Chamber of Commerce. 


Our Resident Architect

Matthew Carlton
Matt is a Partner with Dreamcatcher Design & Build. He joined our firm in 2005, was named a Senior Associate in 2008 and named a Partner in 2010. Mr. Carlton specializes in photorealistic rendering, design development, structural feasibility, and budget auditing.

Prior to joining the Dreamcatcher team, Mr. Carlton worked with Stephen Auger & Associates. While with the firm he was responsible for the oversight of major projects such as the Five Rivers Resort in Oshkosh, WI and the Capitol Health Surgery Centre in Edmonton, ON. 

Mr. Carlton received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Michigan in 2004 and is scheduled to receive his Masters in Architecture from the University of Colorado in 2012.

Brandon Vince

Brandon joined Dreamcatcher Design+Build in 2000 as an associate. Mr. Vince specializes in rehabilitative design, design development, project coordination, and site management. He became an associate partner with Dreamcatcher Design & Build in 2006. 

Mr. Vince earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from University of Michigan in 2004.
